The Alito Nomination
On October 31, President Bush nominated Judge Samuel Alito to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor on the Supreme Court. On January 6th, CRC released a report on Judge Alito's record on environmental issues entitled, "Alito Nomination Raises Fundamental Concerns about the Future of Environmental Law " and asked the Senate to examine his record closely during his confirmation hearings.
